- Open the Reel you want to save in Instagram.

Keep the individual Reel address
A Reel link identifies one short video. The creator’s profile and the audio page linked beneath a Reel are different destinations. Paste the complete copied URL, without a caption or other message text around it.
Preserve the sound that belongs to the Reel
Choose video with audio to keep the soundtrack alongside the picture. Audio-only leaves out the visuals; video-only can leave out the sound. A track unavailable in the source cannot be restored by downloading the clip.
Pick an available MP4 for a practical video-file option, and compare dimensions if more than one quality is shown. The download uses the media supplied for the Reel rather than upgrading the original upload.
Move the Reel from Downloads to your gallery
On iPhone, open the completed download in Files, then use Share > Save Video if supported. On Android, open the browser’s Downloads list or your Files app. Preview the clip before moving it into Photos, Gallery, or an editor.
If the link returns no media, reopen the Reel and copy its address again. A removed Reel, private account, or Instagram access restriction can prevent the public-link workflow from reaching it.
